Hello!

Ultralight_DSC_3551_edited.jpg

My name is Shawnna Sundberg, and I am a board-certified behavior analyst (BCBA) with over 14 years of experience working in the mental health and ABA/VB field. I am currently a Ph.D. student in special education at Ball State University, where I will be completing my dissertation on using anti-ableism training and practitioners' decision-making around unnecessary, intrusive prompts with Autistic people.

I focus my clinical and research efforts on dismantling ableism and ABA reform. I also train other behavior analysts and parents on social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion (SJ-DEI) in ABA. I have a special interest in sexuality education for Autistic people.

Previously, I was a parent training coordinator who focused on supporting families in the home. In addition, I have published two chapters on using interventions with Autistic children and three peer-reviewed chapters accepted for publication that focus on sexuality education, self-management, and college alternatives for transition-aged Autistic students.

Training and learning with others brings me so much joy. Please get in touch with me to see how we can work together!
