Ableism Consultation & Training
Dismantling Ableism

Learning what ableism is and then making changes in your practice is no easy task. It is imperative that we as practitioners can admit that harm is occurring and then listen to the populations we serve. The focus of this professional development is to help practitioners learn about ableism and how to make changes in practice. There will be a strong focus on cultural humility, social validity, multidisciplinary collaboration, and truly listening to the disabled community. I want to help practitioners understand why and how harm is being caused and help navigate this as they move forward in practice. I am not an expert and will never claim to have all of the answers. What I can offer is the opportunity to learn and grow together.
